June 15th, 2015. Gave another speech today, and the turnout was decent. Roger counted over one hundred in attendance, which is our best yet. I introduced our ideas for taxes, a flat rate across the board dissolving all other taxes. I also tried to promote the controversial idea of redefining constitutional amends of Congress’ role and tenures. They didn’t seem warm to the idea, but I expected that. It will take time to refine it, and more time to find the words to convince them. Any significant change takes time to warm up to. I wouldn’t imagine written words mysteriously empowered, with subjective enforcement, would be so radically defended. Yet, here we are.
Our party name hasn’t caught on yet, either. We figured calling ourselves simply The Fathers, would generate additional buzz for having an orthodox name. Perhaps it’s too simple. We’ll look to change it later. We also largely suspect that the Republicans and Democrats are suppressing our message, our name, and our future. Our chance at winning the Presidency is still a long shot. We didn’t rely on that anyway. Our campaign and stump speeches are simply a front for something much more complex, dangerous and revolutionary. I have a meeting tomorrow with General Hammels, which could assure our success.
June 20th, 2015. One of the major networks granted me an interview for next week and it should be a big help to spread our message; however their morning show is their worst program that tends to interview basic questions. Oh well. Many people will see it, and hopefully those people will spread the word to others through word of mouth and our internet posting at www.revolutionischange.org.
The meeting with General went well. He agreed to the foundation of our ideals, though much refinement will be needed to put our vision and plan into action. But we’ll have many of his subordinates initiate the protocols. We have to be patient, we can’t tip our hand. Otherwise we could spend the rest of our lives in jail or worse, executed for treason when there’s no one more patriotic than those that demand what we want.
August 27, 2015. Mikey decided to run for the opening Ohio chair in the Senate. As long as he’s out on the campaign trail promoting our vision, people will understand who we are. We made a pact five years ago that we would tell no lies in our speeches, bringing a belief that our message would benefit their lives. It’s a rather delicate balancing act, and using the word “revolution” is forbidden in our presentations. Revolution is change, change is revolution.
September 7, 2015. Mike was thrown in jail last night, charge for a message of hate. Giving a speech outside of Cleveland for his Senatorial bid, digressing a rant about President Daniels, and his predecessor, who revoked the licenses for all radio stations three years ago, handing out new licenses to like-minded associations to promote warm words of his presidency. Any dissenting messages on the radio usually meant immediate termination from their jobs. Some were given prison time or heavily fined. Maxwell disappeared six months ago.
These are terrible days in America, where free speech a word used within the system’s rules. The Constitution and Bill of Rights have become sheets of blank paper encased in a box somewhere beneath the Library of Congress, unguarded and immaterial.
It did bring a smile to my face when I heard Mike’s speech drew large applause, especially the part where he tore into the President. Businesses share a majority of their revenue, reimbursed only if there’s benefit to the state, rather than servicing the people, or making a dollar for yourself. He spoke on that at length, Jim said.
February 17, 2016. Several months have passed since my last entry. Our speeches are turning record crowds, provided we remain neutral in our views of the existing Government. We can tip toe our points by providing a vision, rather than a reaction of what exists. Last night, however, we had nearly one hundred thousand people in downtown Philadelphia. Intimidation patrolled the skirts of the crowds and Eric counted fifteen Secret Service Agents near the stage in the front row.
Luckily we’re not without our own defenses. General Hammels found fifty guys that were willing to stand around in street clothes, in case we needed rescue. Right now, the good General is weaning out the apples in the basket that could be spoiled rotten, or unwilling, of his 200,000 strong. When I asked him how confident he was with his selection thus far, he said I don’t trust anyone. I suppose in our line of work, with our intentions underground, trust isn’t available to any of us.
I need to cut this short. Father is in the hospital after someone broke into his house last night, giving him a good beating. Law enforcement said they are making this the highest priority. But I wonder.
March 10, 2016. We selected a date. The General has completed his search, and gave me the number 165,313. More encouraging is that he found several more Generals that were sympathetic to our message, which is included in the initial number. Now, we have a fucking army.
March 14, 2016. Father died last night. The doctors forced him into a coma the night he was beaten, but never awoke. His internal injuries were just too severe to sustain his life and now he’s gone. We’re going to have a wake later in the week, which should have a good turn out. After all, this entire vision was his child.
April 16, 2016. The Fathers party has been declared an illegitimate party by the government, all but assuring that we won’t get any legislative seats and my name won’t be on the President’s ballot, as was expected. We’re still spreading the word, though our speakers are dwindling. Jake, Harris and Buzz were arrested last week for spreading anti-American propaganda. Mike is still unaccounted for, though we fear too much to inquire about the issue, or speak on it during our speeches.
November 8, 2016. It’s time.
