The White House: “Our position on Georgia’s territorial integrity is not going to change, no matter what anybody says, and so I would consider that bluster coming from the foreign minister of Russia, and we will ignore it.”

It would seem that a showdown is imminent between Russia and the United States playing their vintage favorites like they did during the Cold War. Which, I’m sure, isn’t helped after Poland and the United States agreed on a preliminary deal to allow Poland to host an anti-missile system — a very unsettling topic for the Russians that believe the anti-missile system is meant to provoke them.
